Establishing a Saudi-British Company in the Field of Military Industries

Saudi Advance Technology Company "WAHAJ" announced the establishment of the Saudi Arabian-based "Portsmouth Aviation" Company in cooperation with Portsmouth Aviation Ltd. which will support local manufacturing capabilities in the field of aviation and defense reflecting the efforts to localize the military industries in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


Dr. Abdulrahman A. Al-Zamil; Chairman of the Board of Directors of WAHAJ , stressed during the ceremony held on this occasion on December 2019 the continuous endeavor to develop the military industries sector in Saudi Arabia, and added: "We are working hard to be supportive to the efforts of Saudi Arabia to localize industries through what we possess of state-of-the-art technologies in the field of military industries ". 


From his side, Mr. Ayman Al-Hazmi, WAHAJ General Manager, stated that the introduction of more advanced and diversified military industries for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will contribute to achieving what the Kingdom seeks to achieve its vision "2030" in proportion to the localization of military spending by 50 percent, considering that our international partnerships will contribute to transferring and exchanging modern experiences and technologies to reflect the benefits on the local economy in addition to the national workforce that will be trained on the latest technologies.


Mr. Simon Escott; Founder and Managing Director of Portsmouth Aviation Limited, said that the collaboration between the two companies through the establishment of Portsmouth Aviation Arabia will combine world-class engineering services supported by latest technology, with advanced capabilities and the competitive environment of Saudi Arabia to provide effective solutions in the rapidly growing Saudi aviation industry market.
