Ibrahim A. Al-Rushoud
General Manager, Major Projects
Ibrahim Abdulaziz Al-Rushoud is a BSc Electrical Engineering Graduate with Honors from King Fahad University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM). Following his graduation, he joined Saudi Aramco Company in March 1993 as Electrical Engineer where he got wide exposure to Central Engineering Services, Gas Plant and Refinery Operation, and International Saudi Aramco Major Projects.
Ibrahim joined Sipchem in 2004 as Engineering and Technical Service Department Manager. He was assigned the responsibility to establish and lead the development of the company’s Engineering & Technical Services, Process Safety & Risk Management Engineering, Environmental & Quality Control Laboratory. He successfully managed to lead the Department to provide the required technical assistance and support to achieve the safe commissioning and start-up of the Methanol and Butanediol plants. After start-up, he further managed capital projects in both the plants & ensured their successful & safe completion.
In May 2007, Ibrahim was promoted to the position of General Manager - Major Projects and in June 2008 Ibrahim was appointed as General Manager – IGC Operations where he spearheaded Operations Department in achieving safe commissioning and start-up of IGC Plant. He also streamlined Operations Department by developing department management systems.
In January 2010, Ibrahim was entrusted upon the position of General Manager – Manufacturing Services Organization. His responsibility included running four key departments within Manufacturing Services, namely, Maintenance, Reliability Engineering, Turnaround & Plant Projects and Laboratory. In October 2010, he was given an additional responsibility of managing Sipchem’s Major Projects. In May 2011, Ibrahim was entrusted to the position of General Manager of overall Sipchem Major Project Organization (OK & IK).
