MATER A. AL-DHAFEERI
General Manager, Operations
 Mater Al Dhafeeri is a Chemical Engineering Summa Cum Laude graduate from Tulsa University 1995, a holder of Master of Science degree in Natural Gas Engineering & Management from University of Oklahoma 2001, and Executive Development Trained at Kellogg’s School of Management in 2010. He spent the first 13 years of his career working for Saudi Aramco exposing himself to various aspects of the Oil, Refinery & Gas business. Started as a Process Engineer in the Consulting Department, then as Operation Engineer in Gas Processing Facility, followed by as Project Engineer and finally as Lead Process Engineer.
Mater joined Sipchem in August 2008 where he assumed the role of Operation Manager for the International Vinyl Company (IVC), and was at the same time the Commissioning Manager leading his team to a successful and safe startup of the facility. Early in 2010, he was assigned to lead the operation team in finding means to improve the operation performance where a new department was established under the name of Operations Planning and Improvement Department (OP&I) that was lead by him in August 2010. In May 2011, Mater was promoted to the position of General Manager of Operations responsible for International Acetyls Company (IAC) and International Vinyl Company (IVC).
