Mr. MEHDI ADIB
Vice President, Major Projects
Mr. Mehdi Adib is a graduate mechanical engineer (1st class honors) from University of Bath in England. Upon graduation he worked with companies such as Rotork Controls, NIOC, Lummus and Bechtel and Enron prior to joining Sipchem. His international assignment ranges from Project Engineering and Project Management in England, France, Brazil, Canada and Kuwait and Project Director, Managing Director and Vice President of Bechtel International in the US, and Malaysia. In his career he has been responsible for project management of some of the world class Fertilizers complexes refineries, heavy oil up-graders, Olefins and Polyolefins, and other Petrochemical facilities.
He joined Sipchem in the year 2000 as a Project Director to help in the development and implementation of its Methanol, Butanediol Projects. He was promoted to the position of Vice President of Major Projects with overall responsibilities for implementation of all of Sipchem’s capital projects such as the Acetyls Complex in Jubail 1 and Olefins Complex in Jubail 2.
Mr. Adib is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas, and Alberta and a registered Project Management Professional (PMP) with Project Management Institute.
He has authored and published several papers and articles on Project Management and Projects Risk Management.
