Welcome to our new website which aims to reflect the continual growth of Sipchem and its strategy to become one of the largest, fully-integrated, petrochemical complexes in the Middle East, owned and operated by the private sector.
Since its inception in late 1999, Sipchem has witnessed progress and development in all fields. The two affiliates started under the Phase-I development, International Methanol Company (IMC) and International Diol Copmany (IDC) are successfully producing methanol and butanediol. Construction of three more projects under Phase-II, International Acetyl Company(IAC), International Vinyl Acetate Company (IVAC), and International Gases Company(IGC) has already started and the plants will be commercially operational in early 2009.
As part of its Phase-III development, in November 2006 Sipchem launched its massive, fully integrated olefins & derivatives complex that will consist of an ethylene / propylene cracker and 16 world scale plants producing down stream value-added performance products. Once fully operational in 2013, the 5 million mtpa complex will employ more than 3,000 personnel.
Sipchem is committed to conservation, sustainable development and safe resource management, thereby strives to maintain harmonious balance between man and nature by adhering to the relevant national and international laws and standards of safety and environmental preservation. No wonder Sipchem completed 5 million man-hours without any lost time injury on January , 2008.
Sipchem is aware of its responsibility and vital role towards its community. This is clearly manifested in Sipchem’s regular support to various charitable and social organizations.
The key to this world class performance is our employees. We have maintained our commitment to attract and retain talented individuals. At the same time, considerable effort goes into training the next generation to operate our company. Saudi employees now total 70% of the work force of the Company.
