As part of the Company's social responsibility which targets the enhancement of the community services and development programs, Sipchem continues its role in the field of community services.
The Sipchem Community Services Committee strives its best and within its capabilities to render all its efforts towards its community with all its levels as part of its belongingness to that community. In the year 2008 and as a part of the company's policy towards its Saudi Community, the company sponsored a series of religious and enlightenment lectures and symposiums. Many religious, cultural and scientific scholars participated in these informative and enlightening activities.

Sipchem has provided financial support to the Charity Society for the Special Needs (IRADA) and continues its participation in the support of the various activities of the social, charitable and educational societies. I n view of these participations, Sipchem has been awarded H.R.H. Prince Mohamed Bin Fahd Prize for its great role in the support of the welfare and charitable societies in the Eastern province and other parts of the Kingdom.

To enhance the principles of voluntary work and altruism among its employees, sipchem sponsored in conjunction with the General Directorate of Heath in the Eastern Province a three day blood donation campaign in which 197 of Sipchem employees participated. Sipchem and its employees provided a good number of financial donations to the charitable societies in the year 2008. In a way of the company's continuous support of the Saudi community, the company's Board of Directors assigned an amount of money in the company's 2009 budget for this purpose.
