Mr. Samir J. Al-Jishi
General Manager, Corporate Planning

 

Mr. Samir JishiFollowing his graduation in 1994, B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering with Honor from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, Dhahran-Saudi Arabia, Samir joined Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), Riyadh- Saudi Arabia, as an Assistant Technical Analyst.

In 1996, he completed one year Post Graduate course for Design, Manufacturing and Management at Cambridge University, UK and in 2000 he earned MBA with Honor from King Saud University, Riyadh-Saudi Arabia.

In 2001, he was promoted as a Technical Consultant at SIDF where he was responsible for technical evaluation for potential industrial projects seeking SIDF loans.

In March 2004, Samir joined Sipchem as a Senior Project Development Engineer and promoted to Staff Engineer. In July 2007, he was promoted as Manager, Downstream Industries. On 1st October 2011, Samir has taken his new assignment as the General Manager, Corporate Planning. He is now heading the team developing new projects for Sipchem. He is responsible for technology selection, technology licensing, negotiating Join Ventures and Marketing/Offtake arrangements for many projects. Samir is also the Board Secretary of International Polymers Company (IPC) – one of Sipchem’s affiliates.

Samir is also a member in the Saudi Engineering Committee and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
