SIPCHEM ANNOUNCES FOR TECHNICAL ISSUES AT THE IGC PLANT

Saudi International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) announces that a technical issues happened on the evening of last Thursday 11 August 2016 at the Carbon Monoxide plant of its International Gases Company (IGC), which led to reduced operating capacity of the following plants; Acetic Acid of the International Acetate Company (IAC), and Ethyl Acetate of Sipchem Chemicals Company (SCC), the Acetic Acid plant is using Carbon Monoxide as feedstock to some of its products.
The technical teams are currently fully focused on resolving this issue to restore full operating capacity of Carbon Monoxide plant. The initial estimates indicates this issue may continue until the third week of August 2016.
The financial impact of this reduced production will be announced once the issue resolved. Sipchem shall make further announcements in relation to this technical issues as appropriate.
